The annual BMWDCSA Open Day will now be incorporated into the LIONS SHOW & SHINE to be held at the Gumeracha Sporting Oval on Sunday the 10th November 2019.
The Lions Gumeracha Show & Shine incorporates the Shannon's Memorial Cruise which recognises our fallen from the defence force and those that have passed away from the motoring clubs in South Australia.
This year’s show will see the introduction of an automotive Swap Meet. All Show and Shine entrants and Swap Meet sellers will be charged an entry fee of $15 per vehicle. The money raised on the day will be donated to “Camp Quality” and all donated gifts will be collected by the Lions Club who in turn will donate it to the Salvation Army for distribution to underprivileged children at Christmas time.
The BMWDCSA will cover the cost of all financial members for the entry into the 'Show & Shine; enabling all members vehicles to be parked together on display on the oval.
Along with the 'Show & Shine', the event will include a 'Swap meet', retro fashion parade and a silent auction with no reserve. Entertainment on the day will be provided by one of Australia’s favourite Rockabilly bands, “The Lincolns” supported by DJ Peter Panagaris. Food & Drink stalls along with Coffee and Ice Cream vendors compliment the many trade stalls showcasing their products which are on display and for sale.
The public may enter with a gold coin donation of their choosing. In all, a great South Australian project with something of interest for the whole family.

The Adelaide Motorsport Festival scheduled for December will be scaled back this year as a result of a reduction in government funding.
Whilst the Shannons Adelaide Rally, Gouger Street Party and a second motorsport themed street party are confirmed to go ahead on the original dates of December 4th to 7th 2019, the Victoria Park Sprint will not be part of the Festival.
The State Government have been strong supporters of the Adelaide Motorsport Festival in the past, with the event adding to the State’s significant motorsport offering and we are pleased the Adelaide Rally and street party are able continue
