"Get Your Tops Off" for Breast Cancer Research, Sunday the 16th of October.

From Shannons:

"We are hoping to attract a full gamut of cars, ranging in age from early 1900s Veteran and Vintage, Classics, modern day prestige and exotic vehicles such as Ferrari, Porsche, Maserati and Rolls-Royce.

Regular ‘daily-driven’ convertibles such as Audi, BMW, Mazda, Mercedes-Benz, Mini, Volkswagen and Volvo are also welcome to attend and drop their tops, irrespective of their owners being directly involved in the car club movement.

The unique feature of each ‘Tops Off’ show is that spectators are encouraged to buy a $2.00 ‘pink’ National Breast Cancer Foundation ribbon and place it in front of the vehicle of their choice. At the end of the day, the vehicle with the most ‘pink’ ribbons wins the People’s Choice award.

Participants are also encouraged to wear ‘pink’ and/or theme their vehicle or picnic lunch accordingly.

Since its inception four years ago, the ‘Tops Off’ days have raised and donated more than $15,000 to the National Breast Cancer Foundation. Money raised will be used to fund research and raise awareness of this disease, which affects one in eight women in their lifetime and more than 140 men each year."
